ON HOLD,ON HOLD,ON HOLD The Party bought several hotels in Germany in the 1930s, the most famous being the Deutscher Hof in Nuremberg, the Platterhof and the Berchtesgadener Hof. The Silverware and cutlery had the name of the hotel and a swastika wrapped in Oak.
On many pieces we find only the brand “Hotelbetriebsges.m.b.H.”, Which was the official name assumed by the company that managed the hotels for the Party.
The only swastika garland stamped without the name of this company or hotel, we do know that it was a NSDAP party property.
Small Oval Silver Plated Cocktail tray. The tray measures 24 cm and is marked with manufacturer Gerbruder Hepp Pforzheim on one end and the swastika within a wreath on the other. Although this piece is not specifically marked with the name of the hotel, it comes from the berchresgaden area along with other items I have recovered.
