A Fantastic example of this rare Bruckmann spoon, specially produced for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The spoon carries designation marks for Hermann Göring’s Sonderzug ‘Asien’, and in particular carriage number ‘233’ which was Göring’s guest wagon.
The lower part of the handle is accentuated with a raised edge to obverse and reverse. The obverse features a rather more worn but still detailed Deutsche Reichsbahn Eagle with wreathed Swastika straddled by the letters D and R all in relief to the bottom of the handle. To the reverse on the long stem is found the stamped Bruckmann ‘B’ along with a locomotive symbol makers mark, followed by ’90’ indicating silver plate, and then the impressed number ‘233’ indicating the wagon number.
