This is a book of 8 photos that show the Richtfest or topping off ceremony of this historic building. For those of you also didn’t know what topping out means, I looked it up for us. A topping out ceremony is an age-old tradition in which the tallest and last beam is placed on a project. It marks a major milestone for everyone on the project. This usually is an event to be celebrated. This is a presentation book commemorating this moment, with three title pages, as well a photograph of a Hitler, followed by more photographs of the topping off for the building. All photos were taken by Hermann Hoffmann who was Hitler’s personal photographer. It measures approximately 25 X 25 cm. The photos are in excellent condition, as is the presentation book. The book’s hardcover looks like wood, with a large embossed national eagle on the cover. A very good example.
